Representation work

Representation Work:

Class-Newspaper- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2419604/Prince-William-hires-old-nanny-Jessie-Webb-George.html

The class shown here is upper because it is saying about Prince William. It is an okay representation for him because he is showing that he cares by bringing in the woman who helped raise him, and he turned out alright. But then again he is still getting someone else to raise his child because he is too 'important' to do it himself.

Gender- TV show-

In this episode the character Carl is going to see Shirley and he is trying to be the hard man who has been in prison. This is a bad representation of the male gender because he is a horrible man who thinks that threatening a woman is acceptable.

Age- Films- Mean girls-

This is a bad representation of teenage girls, because Regina is rude to her mum and them they have this burn book where they write horrible things about the people they go to school with. There is always a group of girl who portray themselves like this but half the time they are never this bad. This sends out the wrong signal about teenage American girls.

Race- TV Show- Top Boy-

This is a bad representation of black British youth because he is being violent towards the young boy and then the teacher, he is using slang and swear words. He also wants the young boy to skip school to hang out with him.

Sexuality- Newspaper-
This is technically not good and not bad, this picture is merely showing his abs where as others show much more. This is to pleasure the female audience which is bad because it make these man just sex objects to them as women are to men, this is nice because they are human. On the other hand the people in the picture know what they are getting into and know what the pictures are being used for so if they don't mind them that is their decision.
